TV 방송국에서 일했고 여러 나라에서 라디오 방송을 했으며 〈타임스(Times)〉, 〈데일리 텔레그래프(Daily Telegraph)〉, 〈프로스펙트(Prospect)〉 같은 간행물에 글을 기고하고 있다. 현재 영국 서퍽에 거주한다.
