서울대학교 자연과학대학 통계학과 학사, 서울대학교 대학원 통계학 석사, 미국 University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill 생물통계학 박사 과정을 졸업하고 미국 Harvard School of Public Health 연구원을 역임했다. 현재 숭실대학교 자연과학대학 정보통계보험수리학과 조교수이다.
