서울대에서 박사학위를 받았으며, 현재 포스텍 사회문화데이터사이언스 연구소 연구교수를 거쳐 서울대학교 보건대학원 조교수로 재직 중이다. 주로 대량의 언어 자료를 활용하여 사람들의 마음과 인식을 분석하는 연구를 하고 있다. 주요 논문으로 “Online information exchange and anxiety spread in the early stage of the Novel Coronavirus(COVID-19) outbreak in South Korea: Structural topic model and network analysis”(공동연구), "Funding sources and breast cancer research frame" 등이 있다.
