토종 한국인으로 원어민 수준의 영어를 구사하며 일본어도 수준급인 팔방미인으로 코리아 중앙데일리를 거쳐 현 중앙일보 기자로 활동 중이다. 외교부 및 통일부 출입기자로 방북 취재 경험 또한 풍부하며, 다수의 이달의 기사상을 수상하였다. 한국 최초 IOC 위원장 인터뷰, 한식세계화 TF, 중앙 SUNDAY, 월간중앙, 디지털 뉴스룸 등 다양한 분야에서 활동한 경험이 있다.
