켄트 L. 잉거는 Portland Seminary의 신약학 교수로 봉직했고 현재는 은퇴했다. 바울서신 및 초기 유대교와 관련해서 꾸준히 연구해 왔다. 본서 『바울에 관한 새 관점 개요』 외에, Paul, Judaism, and Judgment According to Deeds (1999); God and Human Wholeness: Perfection in Biblical and Theological Tradition (2019); The Pharisees: Their History, Cha­rac­ter, and New Testa­ment Portrait (2022) 등을 저작했다.
