하정완은 목사이다. 세상 모든 곳에 하나님이 계시다고 믿고 살아왔다. 그래서 모차르트의 〈레퀴엠〉과슈베르트의 〈겨울 나그네〉에서도 하나님을 만났다고 한다. 언제나 세상 속에서 숨 쉬는 신(神)의 숨결로 시(詩)를 쓰고, 흐르는 대로 사진을 찍으며, 그림을 그리고 노래를 만든다. 그래서 목사이지만 목사 같지 않다. 그저 신(神)을 삶과 세상 속에서 발견하고 호흡하며 사는 구도자(求道者)라고 스스로 말한다.
Jung Wan Ha is a pastor. He believed throughout his life that God exists everywhere in the world. He said he met God in Mozart’s 〈Requiem〉 and Schubert’s 〈The Winter Traveler〉. He writes poems with the breath of God who always breathes in the world. He takes pictures with the flow, draws pictures, and writes songs. So he is a pastor, but not like any other. He simply refers to himself as a seeker who tries to discover and breathe God in life and in the world.
