연세대학교 기계공학과를 졸업하고, 미시간(Michigan)대학교 경제학 박사 학위를 취득했고, 현재 세인트존스(St. John’s University, NY)대학교 경제학 교수로 재직 중이다. 저서로는 Paradigms and Conventions: Uncertainty, Decision Making, and Entrepreneurship이 있으며, 논문으로는 “Conventions and Economic Change: A Contribution toward a Theory of Political Economy”, “Misunderstanding Distribution”, “Path Dependence and the Korean Alphabet” 등이 있다.
