아시아계 미국 희곡 전공. 비극의 주제가 고대 그리스로부터 현대 미국까지 변주되어 온 양상과 그 역사를 추적하는 시대적 연구에 관심을 갖고 있다. 최근 논문으로 “Labor of Love: Alienation, Race, and Family in Julia Cho’s Aubergine”, “Stereotypes, Acting, and Alienation: Philip Kan Gotanda’s Yankee Dawg You Die”, “Ethnic Difference in the Construction of War Bride Narrative: Velina Hasu Houston’s Tea and Julia Cho’s The Architecture of Loss” 등이 있다.
