Ian Stewart
수학자이자 대중과학 저술가. 케임브리지대학교에서 수학을 전공하고 워릭대학교에서 박사학위를 받았다. 1995년 영국왕립학회로부터 대중과학에 기여한 공로로 마이클 패러데이상을, 2002년 미국과학진흥회에서 과학대중화공로상을 받았다. 현재 워릭대학교 수학과 명예 교수이자 왕립학회 특별회원이다. 지은 책으로 《최고의 수학자가 사랑한 문제들》, 《교양인을 위한 수학사 강의》, 《위대한 수학문제들》, 《생명의 수학》, 《세계를 바꾼 17가지 방정식》, 《신도 주사위 놀이를 한다》 등이 있다.
