Daniel Klein
1939년 델라웨어 생. 미국인이 사랑하는 작가이자 세계 여러 나라에 소개된 교양 철학 저술가이다. 하버드에서 철학을 전공한 후, 여러 학교에서 강의를 했으며, 방송계에서도 활발하게 활동했다. 「뉴욕타임스」 베스트셀러 『술집에 들어온 플라톤과 오리너구리 한 마리 Plato and Platypus Walk into a Bar』와 같은 대중 교양서를 주로 집필하였으며, 지난 2009년에는 소설 『현재의 역사 The History of Now』로 「포워드 매거진」선정 올해의 책 은메달을 수상하였다. 현재 아내와 함께 매사추세츠 주에서 살고 있다.
