This book introduces matrix methods of structural analysis interactively using computer programs including manual as well as automatic or direct force method extending towards automation. Concepts of stresses, strains, strain-displacement relationship and plane stress and strain in addition to work, energy are discussed. The Matrix Force Method is systematically developed and used for the analysis of beam, and frame structures. It develops Matrix Stiffness Method from basic spring element and extended to analysis of beams, trusses, plain frames, grillages, and space frames.
