This story was so fun to read! Rick Riordan did a great job writing a story about Greek gods and their half-blood children. I learned more about Greek gods thanks to this book and I am now addicted to this series! I love how Percy Jackson goes through everything with his friends at his side and how he trusts them and loves them and the fact he will die for them is really heart warming. I wish Rick Riordan wrote different points of view, but I guess it makes sense why the series name is Percy Jackson and the Olympians. If you want to read a book with different points of views, I suggest reading the next series "Heroes of Olympus". It has different points of views from different characters, but if you want to read that series, you have to read Percy Jackson and the Olympians first. I think this book can help you learn more about Greek gods, myths and the importance of friendship. One lesson I learned from Percy Jackson is that everyone has a flaw. I wish I could go back to when I first read the Percy Jackson books/series and read it again for the first time. I am now reading "Trials of Apollo" and I can't wait to read the new two books Rick Riordan wrote to expand Percy Jackson and Olympians. Though I think it's really unfortunate that the two books are about what will happen to Percy Jackson after "Heroes of Olympus" so you have to read "Heroes of Olympus" in order to understand the story. |
