성격이 다른 펜더윅스 네자매들의 이야기를 읽으며 즐거웠습니다. 아렌델의 3주휴가를 통해 제레미라는 친구를 알게되고 진정한 친구로 걱정해주며 아껴주는 모습이 이쁩니다. 그리고 큰 에피소드와 더불어 각자의 에피소드도 재미있었어요~ 티프톤부인과 덱스터는 좀 별로였으나 마지막에는 자신의 아들 제프리가 진정 원하는게 무엇인지를 듣게 된것같아 다행이다 싶었습니다. 벌써 펜더윅스 자매들의 다음이야기가 기대되네요~ |
| What pleasure this book brings. It is gentle, funny, thoughtful, with an old fashioned feel about it. (I had to look to find out it wasn't written in the 50's.) It celebrates family and close friendship, kindness and lovingly squabbling sisterhood. The basic story is a three week vacation a rented cottage of a bunch of motherless sisters who befriend a fatherless boy. It's aimed at preteens and late elementary readers. (The point of view is shared between sisters who are ages 13, in the throes of her first crush, down to age 4, concerned about rabbits and her delightful dog.) However, children up to age 99 will enjoy this sweet novel. |
