This was a beautiful story of people helping people in Warsaw,Poland, with no regard for what religion they were. It was so informative about life in Warsaw. It was so sad to learn more detail of what both the Jews and Christians went through. The Zookeeper, his wife and son had such strong character, doing everything they could to help, sharing what they had with the others . It was devastating when the animals were sacrificed. I enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed many of the books about World War II. |
