예를 들면,
So she closed her eyes and stretched her neck
and opened her mouth and licked.
But Kitten only ended up with a bug on her tongue.
end up은 한국 사람들이 잘 못쓰는 표현인데, '~로 끝나다' 같은.
다시 한 번 복습해서 좋았고.

So she pulled herself together and wiggled her bottom
and sprang from the top step of the porch.
But Kitten only trumbled-
bumping her nose and banging her ear and pinching her tail.

그리고 가장 내가 좋아하는 부분.
So she chased it-
down the sidewalk,
through the garden,
past the field,
and by the pond.
But Kitten never seemed to get closer.
밑줄 친 전치사 부분을 다양하게 활용하는 것,
내가 너무너무너무 좋아하는 부분.

그리고 seem to + 동사도, 좋다.
보통 2형식을 그냥 죄다 다 be동사로 해결하려는 분들도 계시는데.
저렇게 linking verbs를 다양하게 써야 좋다는 것.

seem (내면적으로 보이다), look (겉으로 보이다), sound, smell, feel, taste....같이 지각 동사나
become, turn, go, come 등 상태가 변할 때..
