Penguin 출판사라 책의 구성이나 품질은 무난합니다. 시중에 프랭켄슈타인은 1831년도 판본이 더 많이 있어서 괜찮은 1818년 판본을 구하기 어려웠는데 배송이 조금 걸리기는 했지만 만족스러웠습니다. 1831년 판본의 내용과 비해서 수정이 들어가지 않은 원본을 읽는 느낌이 새로웠습니다. 세상에 내 던져진 피조물의 고통과 고뇌, 창조주를 향한 애증 등 영화에서 소비되는 이야기보다는 깊이있는 생각을 할 수 있었습니다. |

우선 듣고 있는 오디오북이 나중버전이 아니라 1818버전을 토대로 녹음이 돼서 이 책을 바로 발견하고 샀습니다. 원래 팔던 나중에 1818판본과 비교해서 보여주는 페이지들이 있는데 솔직히 귀찮더라고요. 한가지 아쉬운 점이 있다면 커버표지가 하나도 안예뻐요. 그냥 더 좋은 그림 써도 됐을텐데 말이죠. 내용이야... 뭐 고전이니까 사셔도 후회는 없으실거예요. |
