| "every nine seconds", if you already know what the title means, you probably can guess what i'm gonna talk about. "every nine seconds"! the quotation from a study on men's sexual impulse! anyway i don't wanna go on a tangent by chattering about some sex thing. this is a brightly well-written gay novel, funny to say though, based on a tv series "queer as folk" - not like the opposite-. we, the fans, i mean those totally hooked on brian kinney (and all righty, sometimes michael, emmet, deb, ok~:)?) and , you know, all that glittering queer things, are kinda curious about their past from time to time. (if i'm allowed to be candid,,, not necessarily:) "every nine seconds" is exactly limiting our imagination, but it's pretty pleasant. all the details from what michael thought about brian to how they became kinda "seperated" are quite consistent and correspondent to our (honestly, my^^) guess. in short, it's fun reading! guess what, first of all, the whole book is full of useful, colloquial english. (now you forget brian's overwhelming f-ing words:) second of all, it's SIMPLY fun -as long as you're interested in "queer as folk", or at least not homophobic.-. 'cause there're a lot of subtle feeling things, events, different lives probably most of us can't live. each sentence itself might not be VERY healthy, but you know what, some "explicit" sentences are not that course for me, as a foreigner~:). |
