| I thought the novel was good, a little "slow" at the start, with a "crescendo" of developments, feelings and tragedies at the end. The character development and the setting of "Beartown' next to a more prosperous town, "Ned", was excellent. Human nature plays a prime role in a story that revolves around a dying town in the middle of nowhere with its quest for fame and recognition. The author mates his characters artfully so that the "twists and turns" in their lives are, in the end, not so surprising given their dispositions and travails. |

할머니가 미안하다고 전해달랬어요 의 덴마크 소설가 프레드릭 배크만의 베어타운을 구매하였습니다. 원서를 읽어보길 권하는 작가는 이미 한국어판으로도 큰 성공을 거둔 오베라는 남자를 읽길 권유하였지만 프레드릭 배크만의 작품성을 믿고 새로 나온 베어타운을 선택했습니다. 역시 덴마크의 예술과 소설은 동심을 자극하는 작품성이 느껴졌습니다. 동화의 나라 덴마크다운^^ |
