it is a pity that I stopped reaading the book after reading only a 10 percent of the book. The book gives a good highlight how people in UK, espeically those who are noble, communicated in the 18th century.

I selected the book because I often quoted from the Lord Chesterfield's. After reading thus far, I realized that Lord Chesterfield is a different person from what I have imagined. So, a lesson is that you don't know any one until you go with him a day's journey.

I know that there is a translation of this book into Korean. I am already keen to know how the readers reacted to the Korean version. Yet, the original version may fit to those who major in English language or History, not to the lay people. And maybe, that is the message of this book.
