| This book was purchased for my Christmas library. November is my kickoff month to start holiday reading. I only read from my Christmas library collection during this time of the year. It helps enhance the spirit of the winter holidays & boosts my moral. The young adult book was appealing so I just read the fly leaf and the next thing I knew, I was disappointed because I was at the end of the book. The writing was very good. The stories could each stand alone but I liked the way the separate authors connected their stories. YA's can so see themselves in the stories of teens trying to adapt to changing plans, following parents rules & guidelines while wanting to have a fun filled holiday. The book is a pleasant addition to my holiday library. I only recently discovered John Green in The Fault of Our Stars which was so good that I am reading his other books. Normally, short story collections are average, this one will be rated high & recommended often. By the way, I never read romances. |
