인하대학교 대학원 교육학 박사로 교육심리학을 전공했다. 일본 동경대학교 대학원 사회심리학과 post-doc.이었으며, 인하대학교 교육대학원과 학부에서 겸임교수 및 강사로 활동했다. 역서로는 ‘신뢰의 구조: 동서양의 비교(2001, 공역)’가 있다. 논문으로 ‘The perception of taking care of elderly parents among Korean high school students. Paper presented at the 5th International Conferences of Asian Association of Indigenous and Cultural Psychology, p. 109-110. January 10-12. Surakarta, Indonesia.(2014)’ 등 국내외 학술대회에서 다수 발표했다.
