현재 동국대학교 경제학과 교수이다. 스탠퍼드 대학에서 경제학 박사학위를 받았다. 한국산업조직학회 이사를 지냈으며, 현재 규제개혁위원회 위원으로 활동하고 있다. 주요 논저로 “The Productivity Dispersion of the Korean Manufacturing Industry and Macroeconomic Allocation Efficiency Measures”(공저), “Top Incomes in Korea, 1933~2010: Evidence from Income Tax Statistics”(공저) 등이 있다.
