샌프란시스코 신학대학원을 졸업하고 미국장로교 목사로 사역활동을 하였으며, 현재는 종교서적 전문출판사인 미국 나마스테 퍼블리싱(Namaste Publishing)의 편집장으로 일하고 있다. 스승인 로버트 쿠트 교수와 함께 The Bible’s First History와 In the Beginning: Creation and the Priestly History 및 Is the Bible True 등을 저술하였으며, 그 외에도 Your Forgotten Self: Mirrored in Jesus the Christ 등의 저서가 있다.
