한림대학교 건강과뉴미디어 연구센터 연구교수로, 전공 분야는 건강과 위험커뮤니케이션이다. 텍사스주립대학교(오스틴)에서 박사학위를 받았다. 주요 저서로는 The Oxford Encyclopedia of Health and Risk Message Design and Processing(공저, 2017)이 있고, Health Communication, Journal of Risk Research, Telemedicine and e-Health 등의 국제 학술지에 건강과 환경 커뮤니케이션 연구들을 게재했다.
