2004년 『국제 정신분석 저널』의 우수 논문상 수상자이다. 그는 정신증 고등 연구소(the Center for the Advanced Study of the Psychoses) 소장이자 국제정신분석협회(the International Psychoanalytical Association) 회원이다. 그의 저서로는 『정신분석 재발견하기: 생각하기와 꿈꾸기, 배우기와 잊기(Rediscovering Psychoanalysis: Thinking and Dreaming, Learning and Forgetting)』등이 있다. 그의 작업은 16개 언어로 출판되었다.
