Hangan Liu was born in Xinjiang, grew up in Suzhou, and is currently pursuing her studies in Shanghai, China. This diverse upbringing has instilled in her a profound interest in the richness of regional cultures and their intersections.

Her engagement with Chinese tea culture proved to be transformative. Captivated by its historical depth and aesthetic sophistication, she began to explore its contemporary significance, especially the possibilities for revitalization through emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and the metaverse.
