앨런 파슨스 프로젝트의 데뷔 앨범 'Tales Of Mystery And Imagination Edgar Allan Poe'가 애비 로드 리마스터 버전, 보너스 트랙 4곡이 추가된 확장 CD 등 다양한 포맷으로 재발매되었다. 이 앨범은 1976년 6월에 처음 발매되었으며, 에드거 앨런 포의 공포 소설과 시를 가사와 음악으로 재해석한 작품들이다. 앨범에는 'The Tell Tale Heart'에 더 크레이지 월드 오브 아서 브라운의 아서 브라운, 'The Cask of Amontillado'와 '(The System of) Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether'에 존 마일스, 'To One in Paradise'에 더 홀리스의 테리 실베스터 등 유명 뮤지션들이 참여했다. 또한, 앰브로시아와 파일럿의 전 멤버와 커브드 에어와 스카이의 키보디스트 프랜시스 몽크먼이 앨범 작업에 참여했다. 이 앨범은 전 세계적으로 백만 장 가까이 판매되며 독일과 캐나다를 포함한 여러 국가에서 플래티넘을 달성하는 등 큰 성공을 거두었다. The Alan Parsons Project debut studio album was originally released in June 1976. The lyrical and musical themes of the album are retellings of horror stories and poetry by Edgar Allan Poe. Musicians featured on the album include vocalists Arthur Brown of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown on "The Tell Tale Heart", John Miles on "The Cask of Amontillado" and "(The System of) Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether", and Terry Sylvester of The Hollies on "To One in Paradise". The complete line-up of bands Ambrosia and Pilot play on the record, along with keyboardist Francis Monkman of Curved Air and Sky. The album was a worldwide hit selling almost a million copies and achieving platinum status in a number of territories including Germany and Canada.
