라흐마니노프 : 철야 기도 Op.37 연주: 줄리아 스코자파바(메조 소프라노), 프랑크 플레쉬너(테너), 피닉스 코랄, 캔자스 시티 코랄, 찰스 브루피(지휘) 그래미상 어워드 수상 지휘자인 찰스 브루피가 피닉스 코랄과 캔자스 시티 코랄 2개의 합창단을 이끌고 들려주는 라흐마니노프의 최고의 종교 음악 걸작 ‘철야 기도’. 본 음반은 1915년 3월 모스크바 시노달 코랄 의해 초연된 이 곡을 2015년 100주년을 맞이하여 발매되고 있다. 총 10번의 그래미 어워드 후보와 4번의 그래미상 어워드를 수상한 세계 최고의 합창단 피닉스 코랄과 캔자스 시티 코랄은 빛나는 연주를 감상할 수 있다. 라흐마니노프의 철야 기도의 텍스트는 1000년에 이르는 러시안 정교회 전례로부터 유출하고 있다. 그러나 경건하면서도 강렬한 이 곡은 정식 예배보다 종교 합창 음악의 콘서트 감상에 더 완벽하다. 피닉스 바흐 합창단,Phoenix Bach Choir (Bach & Madrigal Society of Phoenix)

1958년, 바흐 & 마디르갈 소사이어티 오브 피닉스(Bach & Madrigal Society of Phoenix)라는 이름 아래 성악가들이 모인 스터디 그룹으로 출발한 합창단. 르네상스와 바로크 시대 합창 작품에 초점을 맞추어 활동한다. 1992년부터 애리조나를 근거지로, 전문 합창단으로 활동을 시작하였고, 2004년부터 샨도스(Chandos) 레이블에서 음반을 발표하였다. 지금은 합창단 이름을 '피닉스 코랄(Phoenix Chorale)'로 바꾸었지만, 20년 넘게 사용한 피닉스 바흐 콰이어(Phoenix Bach Choir)이름으로 더 많이 부른다.
