저는 5살 때부터 《새싹 큐티인》으로 큐티를 시작했어요. 지금은 《샛별 큐티인》의 ‘보석간증’ 필자로 참여하고 있답니다! 매일 큐티를 하니 말씀을 꾸준히 읽게 되고, 어렵게만 느껴졌던 말씀도 훨씬 더 잘 이해하게 되었어요. 최근에 마가복음으로 큐티했던 말씀이 가장 기억에 남아요. 예수님이 간절히 기도하시는 동안 제자들은 꾸벅꾸벅 졸고 있었지요. 그 말씀을 보며 예배 시간에 집중하지 않고 장난치던 제 모습이 꼭 제자들과 같다는 생각이 들었어요. 큐티를 하면 말씀을 통해 내가 무엇을 잘못했는지 알게 되어요. 그리고 하나님께 솔직하게 잘못을 고백하고 회개할 수 있도록 도와주지요. 친구들도 큐티하며 하나님을 매일 만나면 좋겠어요~! I started doing QT with QTin Sprouts when I was five years old. Now I get to take part in QTin Stars as a “Jewel Testimony” writer! When I do QT, I get to read God’s word every day. God’s word used to feel so hard, but now it has become much easier to understand. A QT that really stuck with me recently was from the book of Mark. While Jesus was praying with all his heart, his disciples were nodding off to sleep. As I read that, I realized I was just like the disciples when I played around and couldn’t focus during worship. When I do QT, God’s word shows me what I did wrong. It helps me honestly confess what I did wrong to God and repent. I hope you’ll meet God every day through QT too! (Onyu Yeo 10 years old)

“저는 꿈을 이루기 위해서 열심히 공부해요. 얼마 전에는 수학 시험지를 풀다가 어려워하는 친구들을 도와주기도 했어요. 그런데 열심히 공부한 것에 비해 시험문제를 많이 틀려서 속상했었어요. 모든 나무와 열매를 메뚜기가 다 먹어버린다는 말씀을 보며, 그동안 숙제나 게임을 먼저 하느라 큐티를 미루거나 빠뜨렸던 제 모습이 떠올랐어요(42절). 앞으로는 중요한 일을 하기 전에 가장 먼저 말씀을 보고 하나님께 기도할래요.” (9세 이사랑 어린이)

“I study hard to make my dreams come true. A little while ago, I even helped some friends with math when they were having a hard time. But even though I studied hard, I got a lot of the test questions wrong. That made me sad. When I read the verse about locusts eating up all the trees and fruit, I realized that I had been putting off or skipping QT because I did my homework or played games first (v. 42). From now on, before I do something important, I’ll read God’s word first and pray to God.” (Sarang Lee, age 9)

“저는 잠이 안 온다며 밤늦게까지 안 자려고 해요. 그러면 다음 날 아침에 등교 준비할 시간에 잘 일어나지 못하지요. 부모님은 저를 위해 매일 밤 정해진 시간에 자도록 도와주세요. 그런데 저는 아빠에 게는 “엄마가 책 읽어도 된대요.”, 엄마에게는 “아빠가 조금 놀아도 된대요.”라고 말하며 핑계를 대지요. 하나님은 같은 생각과 같은 마음으로 하나가 되라고 하세요(10절). 이제는 핑계 대며 제 마음대로 하지 않고 부모님과 같은 마음으로 말씀을 잘 따를래요.” (7세, 박유주)

“I say I’m not sleepy and try to stay up late at night. Then the next morning, I have a hard time waking up when it’s time to get ready for school. My mom and dad make me go to bed at the same time every night for my own good. But I made excuses. I told my dad, “Mom said it’s okay to read a book.” And I told my mom, “Dad said it’s okay to play a little.” God tells us to be one, with the same mind and the same heart (v. 10). Now, I won’t make excuses and do whatever I want. I’ll listen to my mom and dad with one heart and obey God’s word.” (Yuju Park, age 7)
