음반소개

[부가정보]

A debut album that feels like the energy of a live performance vacuum-packed. At the time, 20-year-old Rory Gallagher and a powerful rhythm section deliver overwhelming energy. Recorded in just one day at a studio in London between grueling tour stops, this audio captures them on stage, sparking, vividly. The allure of this album cannot be fully expressed by the word "blues rock" alone. The debut album from Taste, led by legendary guitarist Rory Gallagher, is an astonishingly sophisticated work that perfectly blends Chicago blues, acoustic folk, and proto-heavy metal. Lolly's guitar playing isn't just intense. The fluid acoustic slide guitar in Lead Belly's "Leaving Blues" and the delicate, intricate fingerpicking in "Hail" are breathtakingly beautiful. In contrast, the seven-minute "Sugar Mama" features a powerful call-and-response, showcasing the essence of blues with a tenacious intensity. The album closes with the country cover "Im Moving On," which adds a punk-infused urgency to the original track. The fact that Eric Clapton chose them as the opening act for the disbandment concert of his band, Cream, speaks volumes about the band's talent. Of course, Rory Gallagher's genius playing is remarkable, but it is the rock-solid groove of the rhythm section led by bassist Richard McLachlan and drummer John Wilson that makes this album shine.
