Since Korean is written in Hangeul, which is based on very scientific principles, it is easy to learn the basics. Of course, the system of language as a whole is considered a difficult one to learn because it is so different from Western languages, especially English. However, after teaching Korean to foreigners, I've found that these differences can be overcome with both interest and passion. Language is not just a communication tool but a way to learn and understand the culture and lives of others.

〈Basic Korean Vocabulary〉 is a collection of words that are used frequently, in actual conversation, from those essential "dictionary" words to ones that reflect the rapidly changing times. Since the Korean language was developed with honorifics, it is relatively strict in selecting the appropriate vocabulary depending on the situation and the age or status of the people who are communicating. We have added the necessary tips to prevent mistakes in this area. Confidence in language learning is also a must, and so all Korean words and examples have been Romanized for your convenience.
