I've often wondered if us Earthlings are just avatars in an intergalactic game - Game of Pets confirms this and has me side-eyeing my greyhound Jeremy with suspicion and fear. What I thought was an air of bafflement I can now see is something much more calculating and sinister. I enjoyed Game of Pets by Aaron Blabey a lot - it has a really original and funny concept and Aaron's pen and wash illustrations are brilliant!
