Milanka ?uleji? is a Serbian-American writer from Wisconsin who writes about girls who grow up, ghosts who don't, family secrets, cultural inheritance, and the strange little things that refuse to leave us alone. Her work wanders between poetry, prose, folklore, memory, and the supernatural, often stopping to investigate an old photograph, a forgotten story, or something suspicious happening in the corner of an otherwise ordinary room.
Her chapbooks *The Girl Who Learned to Wait for No One* and *Baby Doll Head* are published or forthcoming with Dancing Girl Press. Her work has appeared in literary magazines and publications in the United States and internationally, including *Anglozine*, *Gone Lawn*, *Phantom Flash Fiction*, and *Knjiverzum* in Serbia. She is also the author of *The Ghost Girl Who Never Fully Left* and is developing *What We Carry*, a literary project about Serbian and Balkan heritage, family memory, migration, and the things we pass down without realizing it.
When she isn't writing, Milanka can be found exploring history, folklore, and haunted places-or collecting stories that may or may not want to be collected. She lives in Wisconsin, where the winters are long, the family stories are longer, and the ghosts have excellent material.
