I do ordinary things. I ride a bike. I eat ice cream. I play ball. I just don’t look ordinary. My mom says I’m unique. She says I’m a wonder. But all people see is how different I look. They even say mean things behind my back. It hurts my feelings. The Earth is big enough for all kinds of people. People can change the way they see. If they do, they’ll see I’m a wonder, they are wonders, too. We’re all wonders.

“What is the bravest thing you’ve ever said?” asked the boy.
“Help,” said the horse.
“What have you been at your strongest?” asked the boy.
“When I have dared to show my weakness.”
“Asking for help isn’t giving up,” said the horse.
“It’s refusing to give up.”

One day, for no particular reason, nothing was going right. So… I decided to go left. The first thing I did? I left behind my worries. “Where are you going? Wait! Come back!” They hollered. As I walked away, I thought - Did I make the right choice? Doubts crept in. So you know what I did? I left behind my doubts.
They bellowed, “You’re making a mistake! Are you sure you’re making the right decision?” “Absolutely!” I declared. With my worries and doubts left behind, I could finally think clearly.

Leo couldn’t do anything right. He couldn’t read. He couldn’t write. He couldn’t draw. He was a sloppy eater. And he never said a word. “What’s the matter with Leo?” asked Leo’s father. “Nothing. Leo is just a late bloomer, Patience.” said Leo’s mother.
Then one day, in his own good time, Leo bloomed! He could read! He could write! He could draw! He ate neatly! He also spoke. And it wasn’t just a word. It was a whole sentence. And that sentence was… “I made it!”

I thought you might like to know that there’s a new rule at the library. No roaring allowed, unless you have a very good reason ? say, if you’re trying to help a friend who’s been hurt, for example. Sometimes there was a good reason to break the rules. Even in the library.
