Born in 1957 in Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do, Pastor Seung Kyu Shim grew up in a family of three generations of believers. He graduated from Kyeryong Technical High School in Daejeon, South Korea, and the Department of Trade at Sejong University. He worked as a general civil servant in the Ministry of Defense(20 years) and retired as a grade 5 after studying theology at Baekseok Divinity School. After retirement, during his 22 years of service as a church planter in Hak Village, he published “Bible Essence 1 and 2”, the first and second editions for instructors and adults, in Korean, English, Chinese, and six other languages. Since its publication, it has been translated into eight languages, including English, Chinese, French, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Vietnamese, and Myanmar, and distributed by e-mail to 35 countries around the world, and is being used in seminaries, secondary schools, universities, and mission fields around the world. He has been teaching at three local seminaries in Country C for ten years. He has been invited to teach pastors?seminars in Mozambique, Paraguay, Brazil, Ecuador, Guatemala, India, Myanmar, and other mission fields around the world. He is currently serving as the senior pastor of Shalom Church in Cheonan.

It has already been more than eight years since I worked in Christian publishing. And as a general pastor, heI re-expresses John theology through the words of the Bible. It is a book that is very ordinary and easy for everyone to understand. At the same time, it is an evangelical John study based on the Bible.
