Babette E. Bensoussan is Managing Director of The Mind-Shifts Group, a company specializing in competitive intelligence, strategic planning, and strategic marketing projects in the Australasia region. Babette is widely recognized and sought after for her international expertise in competitive analysis and has provided mentoring and training to executives and organizations to assist with the delivery and implementation of competitive intelligence. She has undertaken major studies for and consulted to Australian and global Fortune 500 companies and has undertaken over 300 projects in a wide range of industries and markets.
In 2006 she was recognized for her work in this field by being presented with the highest and most prestigious award in the field of competitive intelligence--the SCIP Meritorious Award. Apart from her active business responsibilities, Babette has taught competitive intelligence at both the Sydney Graduate School of Management, University of Western Sydney, and at Bond University in the undergraduate business and MBA programs. She has published numerous articles on strategic planning, competitive intelligence, and strategic marketing and is an invited speaker and guest lecturer both domestically and internationally. Babette has shared her knowledge of competitive business analysis by co-authoring two books. Strategic and Competitive Analysis and Business and Competitive Analysis have both been the top selling books in this field since being published in 2003 and 2007 respectively.
Craig S. Fleisher holds the Windsor Research Leadership Chair and is Professor of Management, OdetteSchool of Business, University of Windsor, Canada. Recognized as one of Canada’s top MBA professors by Canadian Business, he has previously served as dean, MBA director, and/or endowed research chair at several Canadian universities, is a Docent of the Institute of Business Information Management and Logistics at Tampere University of Technology in Finland, and held or holds adjunct positions at universities in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdon. His Ph.D. is from the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh. A contributing member of various association, corporate, and journal editorial boards, he is a past President and Fellow of the international Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals, founder and inaugural chair of the Board of Trustees of the Competitive Intelligence Foundation (Washington, DC), founding editor of the Journal of Competitive Intelligence and Management, and founding member of the International Association of Business and Society. Recognized as the 2007 Advisor of the Year in Canada by the Golden Key International Honour Society, Craig has authored or edited nine books (several also have multiple foreign language translations) and scores of articles and chapters in the area of applied strategy, competitive intelligence and analysis, or performance management. His most recent book was Business and Competitive Analysis (FT Press, 2007). A well-traveled speaker, he regularly advises leading corporations, associations, and public sector agencies on competitive intelligence and analysis.
