Steve :
And this one American woman, she uhhh... she didn’t really care too much for spicy food. (Mmhmm.) And the, the Thai lady was like, “You! You don’t like spicy.” And she’s like, “Yeah. No, no spices for me.” She was like, “No spices?” “No no, no spices.” “Ok, just a little spices.” and she would still put some in anyway. Yeah so...
Erin :
I feel like they think it’s not authentic (Yeah.) or it’s just not food without like, the spice in it.
Steve :
Yeah. “No spices?” “No.” “O... Okay, just a little spices.” Yeah, so it was kinda funny. Yeah.
Erin :
Yeah, Thai food is surprisingly spicy. (It really is. Yeah.) Like, the authentic stuff. I remember when I was travelling there, I was with my friend who I was living with in Japan. And she was from Canada. (Yep.) And like, I had lived in Korea before that so I was used to eating like, kimchi (Of course.) and like, (The hot stuff.) the spice/ all that spicy stuff. (Yeah.)

Erin :
So, I have a question for you. Do you believe in God?
Steve :
Ohhh... Do I believe in God? No. (Okay.) Uh... Yeah. No, I don’t believe in God.
Erin :
So... Then you would define yourself as an atheist.
Steve :
Huuu, I would define myself, I guess, as an atheist. I/ Yeah. I w/ I guess I do. Yes.
Erin :
Okay. So... if you don’t believe in God (Mmhmm.) then... what is, what is the world and where does it come from? Like, if there’s no sort of like, creator, like where/ what’s your belief on where everything comes from?
Steve :
Well, I think (The source of everything.) that’s, I think that’s uh, I think that’s a fair question to ask, that uh, if there is a creaTION, then there therefore must be a creatOR, (Mmhmm.) or something that made it all happen that you and I are sitting here right now having this conversation. I think that’s a fair question. I don’t know how to answer it fully, but I can tell you what I think. (Okay.)
