Kim Gyo-sin (1901?1945) is one of the greatest educators and Christian thinkers birthed by the Korean Church. A number of papers and writings on his philosophy of education are already being produced in the field of education, and several scholars of education consider him an exemplary educator. Also, research on his Christian thought is being actively pursued by scholars of church history. He was not, however, a well-known mainstream minister in his denomination. Then why is he is getting so much attention from scholars and laypersons? Because he was one who most vigorously pursued and witnessed to the questions, “Why must it be Christianity?” “What is the essence of the power that Christianity can give?” and “How might one enjoy living a pure life without being afraid?”
