Noreen 교수는 프랑스의 INSEAD, 홍콩과학기술대학교 등 세계 각지에서 강의를 해 왔으며 University of Washington의 명예교수이다. 현재 Temple University의 Fox 경영대학의 회계학 교수로 재직 중이다. 그는 University of Washington에서 학사를 마치고 Stanford University에서 MBA과정을 마치고 박사 학위를 취득했다. 공인관리회계사로서 공인관리회계사협회(ICMA)로부터 상을 받기도 했다.
Noreen 교수는 The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting and Economics의 편집위원으로 활약하고 있으며 Journal of Accounting Research; The Accounting Review; Journal of Accounting and Economics; Accounting Horizons; Accounting, Organizations and Society; Contemporary Accounting Research; the Journal of Management Accounting Research와 Review of Accounting Studies등의 저널에 많은 논문을 게재했다. Noreen 교수는 우수강의상도 수차례 수상하였다.
