주요 연구 분야는 국제분쟁, 영토분쟁, 동아시아 안보, 핵 정책이다. 대표 논문으로 “Why Do Territorial Disputes Escalate? A Domestic Political Explanation for the Senkaku-Diaoyu Islands Dispute”(공저, 2016), “Understanding South Korean Public Attitudes Toward Nuclearization: Trends Over a Decade Through External, Domestic, and Individual Perspectives”(공저, 2024) 등이 있다.
