초기 기독교와 그리스-로마 유형 문화를 연구하는 독립 학자다. 보스턴 칼리지(Boston College)에서 성서학 박사 학위를 취득했다. 이전 저서로는 『비문을 통한 신약성서 연구』(Studying the New Testament Through Inscriptions), 『그리스도의 즉위와 하나님의 오른편, 그리고 그리스-로마 문화적 배경』(Christ’s Enthronement at God’s Right Hand and Its Greco-Roman Cultural Context)이 있다.
