현대 기업에서 재무·회계관리의 중요성은 더할 나위 없이 증대되고 있습니다. 기업의 다른 분야(생산·영업 등)의 관리자와는 다르게 기업의 재무관리자(Controller)에게는 많은 실무경험과 더불어 이론적인 공부가 추가적으로 필요하다는 것은 이미 알려져 있는 사실입니다. 이에 미국을 비롯한 많은 나라에서는 기업의 재무관리자(Controller)에게 필요한 자질을 검증하고자 하는 국제관리회계사(Certified Management Accountant : CMA) 시험을 재무담당자 및 관리자에게 요청하고 있는 상황입니다. 그러나 증대되는 시험에 대한 관심과 다르게 국내에는 시험정리용 교재가 거의 없어 수험생들은 국제관리회계사협회(Institution of Management Accountant: IMA)의 추천기본서(Gleim, Willey 등)나 학원교재(Becker 등)를 통해 시험을 준비하여 왔습니다. 그러나 기존 교재는 이론 설명이 너무 축약식이거나 장황한 서술식으로 구성되어 시험을 대비하기에는 이해의 부족이나 정리의 어려움이 있었던 것이 사실입니다. 이에 CMA 시험을 준비하시는 분들의 수험정리를 위해 본서를 저술하게 되었습니다.
본서는 방대한 시험범위의 내용을 시험에 대비할 수 있는 compact한 분량으로 정리하여, 별도의 교재 없이도 각 section별 내용을 정리할 수 있도록 하였습니다. 본서를 통해 시험을 위한 이론정리를 하고, 기출문제(Retirement questions)나 각 기본서의 문제를 연습한 후에 시험을 치른다면 목표하는 시험에의 합격이 어렵지 않을 것으로 보입니다. 모쪼록 본서를 공부하시고 목표하는 시험에의 합격을 이루시길 기원합니다. 2023년 12월 저자 드림 |
