최알버트영은 한양대학교 브랜드디자인 전공 교수이다. 미국 캘리포니아주립대학에서 학사와 석사 학위를 받았고, 홍익대학교에서 박사학위를 받았다. 그는 미국 북텍사스주립대학과 캘리포니아주립대학에서 교수로 재직하였으며, 로스앤젤레스에서 아트 디렉터와 회사 대표로 활동했다. 그는 미국, 한국, 중국 현지 소비자들을 위한 다양한 디자인 컨설팅 프로젝트를 진행하고 있다. 그는 디자인 방법론인 ‘DBL 교육’, ‘디자인 콘셉토’, ‘한글각’, ‘문화코드 브랜드디자인’으로 해외 여러 단체에서 특강 및 워크샵을 진행했다. 그의 대표 디자인은 국가표준 공공디자인인 ‘도로명판 및 건물번호판’이 있다.
