Raimond Gaita

1946년 독일에서 태어났다. 현재 영국 킹스 칼리지 런던의 도덕철학 명예교수이자 호주 멜버른 로스쿨과 멜버른 대학교 인문학부 교수로 있다. 연구 분야는 윤리학, 회의론, 심리철학, 정치철학, 교육, 비트겐슈타인의 언어철학 등이다. 저서로 『선과 악』, 『공통된 인간성』, 『고문에 대해 생각하기』 그리고 자전적 에세이인 『로물루스, 나의 아버지』, 『로물루스 이후』 등이 있다. 『로물루스, 나의 아버지』는 1998년 호주 빅토리아 프리미어 문학상 논픽션 부문 수상작으로, 2007년에 동명의 영화로 제작되었다.
