keep on ~ing는 계속 …하다 라는 의미로 쓰입니다.

He let small children stand on his back to reach the books on the highest shelves.
(사자는 가장 높은 선반에 있는 책들에 손이 닿도록 등 위에 아이들이 올라가도록 했다.)
let + 목적어 + 동사의 원형이 와서 …에게 …시키다, …하게 해주다 라는 의미를 갖습니다.

Do you like to go to the library? (도서관에 가는 것을 좋아하니?)
Yes, mom. I love to go to the library on weekend. (네, 엄마. 주말에 도서관에 가는 것이 정말 좋아요.)
What if there is a lion in the library? (도서관에 사자가 있으면 어떨까?)
Oh, I will be afraid of him. (오, 무서울 거예요.)
Will you be afraid even though he likes the story time? (그 사자가 이야기 시간을 좋아해도 무서울까?)
Let me think about it. If he like the story time, the lion must be a good lion. (생각 좀 해보고요. 이야기 시간을 좋아한다면, 그 사자는 좋은 사자임이 틀림없어요.)
What do you want to do with the lion? (사자랑 무엇을 해보고 싶니?)
I want to ride on him. (등에 타보고 싶어요.)
