『Advanced Essential CLIL 3』은 물리, 화학, 지구과학, 경제, 생물, 사회, 지리, 역사 등의 내용을 총 13개의 unit으로 세분화 되어 있다. 구성은 LOOK, READ, LOOK AND READ와 COMPARE로 나누어져 있다. LOOK 섹션에서는 각 unit의 토픽을 말해주는 사진과 질문들로 구성되어 있어서, 학생들은 본격적인 공부에 앞서서 충분한 배경 지식을 얻을 수 있다. 핵심을 이루고 있는 LOOK AND READ와 READ 섹션에서는 새로운 학습내용을 풍부한 사진을 보며 배운다. 예를 들어, 세포에 대해서 배울 때 실제 현미경을 통해 보이는 세포의 사진을 보며 생생하게 학습을 한다. 또한 COMPARE 섹션에서는, 예를 들어, 바다 생물에 대한 사진을 보고 비교하며 관찰력과 분석력을 기르게 된다. 마지막으로 책 뒷부분에는 Essential Language가 정리 되어 있어 각 unit에서 배운 내용과 주요 단어를 다시 한 번 복습할 수 있다. 오디오 파일도 함께 포함되어 있어 학생들을 영어환경에 최대한 노출시키기에도 최적화되어 있다.
