Isabel Thomas is a science writer and children's author. She has written more than 140 books for young people and has been shortlisted for the ASE Science Book of the Year, the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize and the Blue Peter Book Awards. Isabel also writes for children's science magazines Whizz Pop Bang! and The Week Junior.

Isabel read Human Sciences at the University of Oxford and trained as a journalist. She runs creative workshops for schools and festivals, blending science and the arts, and is a STEM Ambassador and primary school governor.
