날이 맑으면 맑다고 날이 어두우면 어둡다고 사람들은 세상을 탓하며 산다. 이 천지의 조화로 이 세상이 있고 만물이 있고 나가 천지의 뜻에 있는 이치를 사람은 모르고 감사함이 없이 세상을 탓한다.
이 세상은 누가 누구를 원망하고 누가 누구를 욕할 것이 아니다. 너의 것은 맞지 않고 나의 것만 맞다고 생각하는 그것이 안 맞는 이치임을 모르는 사람은 갈 길도 모르고 꿈속에서 헤매나 꿈인 줄도 모르고 있구나. 그 꿈속인 인생사에는 남는 것이 아무것도 없다는 것을 가르치기 위하여 나는 그 꿈 깨는 약을 가지고 왔다. 아무튼 말은 없지만 푸른 하늘 창공에, 하늘의 조화에 사연이 있었을 것이다. 이 세상에 사는 사람들은 모두 다 자기 마음속에 가진 만큼 말하고 행하고 산다. 지금 사는 모양이 곧 자기의 마음의 표현인 것이다.

사람은 물질세계에서만 살아서 눈에 보이는 것만 가지고 가치 척도를 판단한다. 이 일체는 망념의 세계에서 하나의 부질없는 허상이라.
세상에서 참으로 존귀한 것은 완전한 진리 자체라. 또 진리가 된 사람도 마찬가지라. 진리가 가장 가치가 있는 것은 진리 된 자는 죽음이 없고 변하지도 않고 영원히 진리나라에 사니 꿈과 같은 인생은 우주의 세월에 비하면 한낮의 꿈이라. 그 꿈인 허상에 사람은 살아도 꿈인 줄 모르고 산다

우리는 밖에서 매일 하늘을 본다. 그러나 그 하늘을 사람은 보지 못한다. 사람들의 마음속에 하늘 없어서이다. 마음에 가지지 않은 하늘은 나의 하늘이 아니다. 내가 그 하늘이 아니니 하늘을 알 수가 없는 것이라.
그 하늘이 사람 속에 있을 때 하늘을 알고 사람이 없어져 하늘 되었을 때 하늘이 있는 것이다. 그 진리의 나라도 사람 속에 하늘이 있을 때 천국이 있는 것이다. 하늘의 나라가 진리의 나라인 천국인 것이다.

When the day is clear, people blame the world for it being too clear. They also blame the world when it is dark, for being too dark. They do not realize that the world and all creations in it exist by the providence of heaven and earth, that they themselves exist by the will of heaven and earth, and they ungratefully blame the world.
In the world, there is nothing and nobody to blame or fault.
Man does not know it is wrong in principle to believe he is right and other people are wrong. He does not know his destination, and even though he is lost wandering in a dream, he is unaware of it. In order to teach people that there is nothing that lasts or remains in matters of human life - a dream - I have come with the medicine that wakes people from their dreams.
In any case, even though it is silent, the clear blue sky, that is, heaven’s providence, must have its reasons. The words and actions of people living in the world reflect what they hold in their minds; the way each person lives is an expression of his mind.

People live in a material world only, so they judge the value or worth of something simply by what they can see. For example, a person’s value is judged by how much money he has and his position in society. However, such things are all futile illusions from a delusional world.
Man’s mind is confined to delusions or illusions which he acquires while living in the world. What is the most noble, truly noble, is complete Truth itself, and a person who has become Truth.
The reason Truth has the highest value is that death does not exist for a person who has become Truth and he does not change. He lives in the eternal land of heaven. Human life in comparison to the time of the Universe is like a dream dreamt during a nap; and although man lives in this dream-like illusion, he is unaware that his life is a dream. Only Truth is immortal - eternal and without death - so a person who has become this existence is the most noble.

We see the sky outside every day. The sky is Truth and what religions call the absolute.
But people cannot truly see the sky. This is because they do not have the sky in their minds. A sky that does not exist in your mind is not your sky; and you cannot know it, because you are not the sky.
A person who has the sky, Truth, within him, is himself the sky - an eternal and never-dying immortal. He has become immortal.
Man can know the sky only when it exists within him. It only exists when he disappears and becomes the sky itself. It is the same for the land of Truth - only when the sky exists within man, is there a heaven.
