미국 랜덤하우스 출판사 부사장으로 재직하며 편집관리국장과 교열국장을 겸하고 있다. 프리랜서 교정교열자로 출판계에 첫발을 내디뎠고, 1993년 랜덤하우스 출판사에 제작편집자로 입사한 후 마이클 셰이본, 에드먼드 모리스, 수잔 로리 팍스를 비롯한 퓰리처상 수상 작가들과 마이클 폴란, 피터 스트라우브, 캘빈 트릴린 등 내로라하는 작가들의 작품을 총괄 제작했다. E. L. 닥터로, 데이비드 에버쇼프, 프랭크 리치, 엘리자베스 스트라우트와 같은 미국 대표 문장가들과 협업했으며 셜리 잭슨의 미발간 작품집을 교열했다. 노스웨스턴 대학교를 졸업했고 현재 뉴욕에서 살고 있다.
