저자 소개 2

공학박사, 위험물기능장이며 경민대학교 소방안전관리과 교수이다. 중앙, 서울, 경기, 인천, 충청 소방학교 위험물 외래교수와 중앙119구조본부 화학물질 안전관리분야 담당교수로 있으며, 한국소방안전원 위험물안전관리 강습교재 편찬위원과 한국소방안전원 위험물안전관리 강습교수로도 일하고 있다. 중앙소방학교 위험물질론 표준교재 집필위원, 한국소방산업기술원 안전성 평가위원, 한국소방산업기술원 소방검정기술 심의위원으로 일한다. NCS(국가직무능력표준) 위험물 분야 교육훈련 전문가이자 집필위원, 신자격 개발위원이다. 또한 국가기술자격 및 NCS 기반 자격 자체 비교, 연계 검토위원도 맡고 있다.

본 교재는 NCS(국가직무능력표준)에 기반하여 위험물의 분류, 제4류위험물 취급, 제2, 5류 위험물 취급, 제1, 6류 위험물 취급, 제3류 위험물 취급 등 5개 능력단위를 한권으로 묶어 위험물안전관리로 편집코자 하였다. 특히 시중에는 NCS에 준하는 위험물안전관리 교재가 나와 있지 않아 교육현장에서 NCS에 기반하여 위험물안전관리에 대한 강의를 하기에 어려움이 있었다.

대학에서 교육과정 운영상 일반화학 강좌가 별도로 개설되지 않는 경우를 감안하여 위험물에 관련한 기초적인 화학내용을 일부 수록하였다. 이어서 위험물과 관련한 연소 및 폭발현상에 대해 기술하였고, 특히 교육현장에서 사용할 수 있는 유별 위험물의 성상을 이해할 수 있는 실험을 수행연습으로 게재하여 위험물안전관리법에 근거한 위험물의 종류와 성질에 대한 독자들의 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 또한, 각 장별로 유별 위험물로 인한 사고사례를 담아 위험물로 인한 사고의 중대성을 알리고자 하였으며, 한편으로 NCS에서 요구하는 평가자질문, 수행결과보고서, 직무능력평가 등을 예시로 제시하였고, 매 장별로 연습문제를 실었으며, 계산문제의 경우 해설도 추가하여 학습하는데 도움이 되도록 하였다. 아직은 많이 부족하고 미흡한 점이 많아 여러 선배제현의 충고를 귀담아 듣고자 한다. 향후 개정판 때는 훨씬 더 좋은 자료를 많이 탑재코자 한다.
